Book of Life (Poem)

In this fleeting world of flesh and bone,
Where time is brief, and we’re not alone,
A greater truth awaits our sight,
A journey etched beyond the night.
For what we are is not what we see,
The body fades; the soul runs free.
A vessel of dust, it returns to the earth,
Yet the spirit rises, seeking rebirth.
Much more than this, a realm untold,
A destiny woven in threads of gold.
Through light and shadow, we tread this race,
Choosing the path to our eternal place.
The Book of Life, a sacred scroll,
Holds the names of every righteous soul.
A record divine, of love and grace,
Guiding the worthy to a Holy embrace.
But choices weigh heavy on hearts each day,
Through light or darkness, we find our way.
To embrace the dark is to drift apart,
But light refines the weary heart.
We never truly die; we transcend,
Our journey continues, without an end.
A celestial truth, beyond time and space,
One truth that governs the human race.
For those who walk in the brilliance of light,
Their names are written, forever bright.
In the heavenly scroll, their souls take flight,
To dwell in joy, in the Eternal’s sight.
Yet the choice remains, a gift divine,
The road you walk, the stars align.
To live in love, in peace, in grace,
Or fall into shadows in a darker place.
So choose wisely, while time allows,
Lift up your heart, renew your vows.
For in the end, it’s the light we embrace
That writes our name in that Holy place.
The Book of Life awaits us all,
A beacon shining, a higher call.
May your spirit rise, your soul take wing,
To the song of heaven where angels sing.
