My Nazarite Vow (Poem)

I have taken a vow, sacred and true,
To walk the path God has called me to.
A choice to consecrate, to set apart,
An act of devotion from the depths of my heart.
Its roots lie deep in ancient days,
In Numbers’ text, where the faithful praise.
A Nazarite vow, to the Lord I bring,
A life of purpose, for His glory I sing.
Abstinence marks this holy decree,
A step toward what He’s destined for me.
No wine to cloud, no strong drink to take,
A clear mind for the choices I make.
No razor shall pass upon my crown,
A visible sign of the vow I’ve bound.
My hair, uncut, a symbol of grace,
Of dedication to this sacred space.
No touch of death, no shadow near,
A call to life, to hold it dear.
In purity and spirit, I strive each day,
Guided by God, walking His way.
This vow is open to all who believe,
To those who seek and wish to receive.
No rank or class, no gender divide,
Just a heart willing to stand by His side.
For thirty days, or a lifetime long,
The vow transforms, it makes me strong.
In sacrifice, the spirit grows,
Through discipline, His purpose shows.
It’s not a burden, but a gift I bear,
A reminder of His presence everywhere.
Each step I take, each breath I draw,
Is wrapped in the grace of His holy law.
So, I honor this path, unwavering and true,
To fulfill the destiny He’s led me to.
My Nazarite vow, a covenant sealed,
A life in His service, my soul revealed.
In devotion and faith, I press on today,
Set apart for God, come what may.
A life of meaning, a heart that’s free,
This is my vow, my destiny.
