Wounded Inner Child (Poem)

We all carry wounds from the past, traumas left untold,

Especially those that scarred us deeply when we were young and bold.

If these wounds aren’t healed, they grow and take their toll,

Affecting how we live our lives and how we play our roles.

The inner child, they say, is quiet, passive, and meek,

But that’s a myth we often hear, a story far too weak.

The wounded inner child is angry, irritable, and strong,

Lashing out in pain and fear when the world feels wrong.

Prisons are filled with souls, men, women, and the lost,

Carrying their wounded children, bearing a heavy cost.

But healing is within our reach; through Spirit, we find the way,

To mend the wounds, to soothe the pain, and bring peace to the day.

Until Next time, Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
