Born to be Free (Poem)

Born to be free, a truth so profound, In a world of chains, where souls are bound, Zombies they seem, lost in control’s grip, But Jesus’ sacrifice, from darkness, does strip.
Upon the cross, He bore the pain, To break our shackles, our freedom to regain, From lies and deceit, the evil that’s sown, He paved a path where true freedom is known.

God grants us free will, a gift so divine, Yet His ways, as we learn, brightly shine, Maturing in spirit, His guidance we see, Choosing His light over darkness that be.
“The Spirit of the Lord,” where freedom resides, In His presence, truth bravely abides, A beacon of hope, a path to explore, In His embrace, we’re chained no more.

For even within the Church’s embrace, Bondage can lurk, leaving no trace; the Holy Spirit waits to guide and lead; through Him, we find the freedom we need.
“If the Son sets you free,” a promise declared, True freedom found, a gift lovingly shared; in Christ’s liberation, we stand with grace, Breaking the chains and finding our rightful place.

“It is for freedom,” Christ’s sacrifice shown, No yoke of slavery, no burden to own, The call to stand firm, to break every chain, In Christ’s freedom, forever we’ll reign.
From distress, we call to the Lord’s embrace, He answers, setting us free with His grace, Opening eyes to the truth that’s clear, Chasing after freedom, with Him ever near.

Let the eyes be unveiled, hearts ignite, To chase after freedom, to stand in the light, May His love guide us, His truth be our guide, Born to be free, in His grace we reside.
