Creeping Back (Poem)

Girl, I feel you creeping back, slow and sly,
But I won’t let you in; I won’t comply.
I’ve had my share of drama, pain, and strain,
I won’t go down that road again.

For every action, there’s a reaction, it’s true,
And I won’t let you disrupt my peace, ensue.
It’s time to do things right, time to grow,
From the past, I’ve learned, I’ve come to know.

Each day, we grow, evolve, and learn,
From every twist and turn, we discern.
I’ve grown since our last encounter; it’s clear,
The ball’s in your court now, my dear.

I don’t chase, I only attract, you see,
So show me your hand, let’s wait and see.
No more games, no more deceit,
It’s time for honesty, for hearts to beat.

So if you’re creeping back, tread carefully,
For I won’t entertain chaos, you’ll see.
Let’s do things right, let’s start anew,
But only if you’re genuine and true.
