From Ashes to Awakening- Spiritual Insights on California’s Wildfires (Poem)

From ashes that rise with a fiery breath,
A symphony of loss, a dance with death,
The skies grow heavy, the earth turns red,
A stark reminder of lives widespread.
Our hearts and prayers, like rivers, flow,
For those in anguish, for those who know,
The sting of flames, the searing pain,
We lift our voices, pleading for rain.
O California, land scorched and torn,
Through trials fierce, your spirit is reborn.
Each ember speaks, each spark does tell,
A story of grace amidst the hell.
No judgment rests upon this land,
But a call for love to take a stand.
For we are one, a human race,
Bound by God’s unyielding grace.
Feel the pain, the tears, the cries,
Let compassion within us rise.
Stretch forth a hand, ignite the spark,
Of kindness glowing in the dark.
The fires burn, yet they refine,
A chance for hearts to realign.
To see the world through sacred eyes,
To heal the earth, to hear its sighs.
O Creator, hear our plea,
Rain down mercy abundantly.
Help us learn from this plight,
To walk with love, to choose the light.
Bless the hands that labor still,
To shield the land, to bend their will.
Guard the souls who mourn, who grieve,
Grant them peace as they believe.
From ashes to awakening, a journey true,
Through pain, through loss, emerges new.
A chance to build, to start once more,
A life of love, a heart to restore.
May this trial, though harsh it seems,
Kindle in us the brightest dreams.
Of unity, of peace, of grace,
For every soul, in every place.
May God bless California’s lands,
Its weary hearts, its trembling hands.
And may we rise, as one, and see,
The beauty in our unity.
