Listen to the Rabbis (Poem)

In the midst of chaos, voices rise,
Amidst the cries and tearful skies.
The world bears witness, hearts unite,
In protest against the endless night.
Listen to the Rabbis, wise and just,
Whose hearts bleed for the broken trust.
Their sacred teachings echo clear,
A call for peace, devoid of fear.
In Gaza’s streets, where anguish dwells,
Where sorrow tolls relentless bells,
Their voices soar above the fray,
Pleading for the light of day.
Bombs bought with coins of taxpayer’s gold,
Shatter innocence, stories untold.
Five thousand babies, their laughter stilled,
In shadows of conflict, hopes are unfulfilled.
The spiritual guides, with solemn pleas,
Stand against what they can’t unsee.
Their words resound, a fervent plea,
“End this genocide; let all be free.”
Not every voice aligns with might,
Some souls reject the endless fight.
Decency speaks in every land,
Uniting hearts with steadfast stand.
Amidst the turmoil, a beacon shines,
Rabbis’ voices, like ancient wines.
Their wisdom echoes loud and clear,
A call for justice is drawing near.
Let ears be open, hearts be wide,
To end the pain, to turn the tide.
Listen to the Rabbis’ plea,
For peace and justice, let it be.
