Power of the Tongue (Poem)

The tongue holds power, fierce and true,

In life and death, in all we do.

Those who love it heed its might,

Will taste its fruit, both dark and light.

Death and life, in the tongue, reside,

Words we speak, we cannot hide.

They shape our world, they carve our fate,

In whispers, soft, or loud debate.

Be mindful of the words you say,

For they have power to build or slay.

Negative or positive, they hold sway,

In every breath, in every way.

Speak with care, with heart aligned,

Let kindness be the words you find.

For in the echoes of your voice,

Lives are changed by your choice.

Consequences, near and far,

Are borne by words, like guiding stars.

They plant the seeds of joy or strife,

For in the tongue lies death and life.

So let your words be wise and true,

Reflecting all the best in you.

For what you speak, you will receive,

In the power of the tongue, we must believe.
