In the heart of the void, where darkness may creep,
Lies the truth of our souls, buried secrets to keep.
God’s light, a beacon, devoid of all night,
Yet darkness prevails when we shun what is right.
In claiming communion while darkness holds sway,
We falter in falsehood, truth veiled in dismay.
Genocide, a stain, a brutal, cruel art,
A dark cloud that shrouds every compassionate heart.
The world stands witness, yet the horrors endure,
As history etches each atrocity pure.
For actions unkind, for silence profound,
Judgment awaits in history’s resounding sound.
Let us seek in ourselves, in depths pure and true,
The light to extinguish the darkness we rue.
For fellowship with Him, in His light, we must dwell,
To end the darkness, breaking its spell.
May empathy guide us, may compassion ignite,
To cease the atrocities, to stand up and fight.
For in this world, with its trials and its ruth,
May we shine His light, embodying truth.
