The Holy Spirit shows us God’s Divine Order 3
Before I start, may I say I do get pressurized to write, why do you guys do this?, To write one has to get in the zone of God’s frequency, which I don’t mind, but I also have other commitments that enable me to pay my bills, so please be considerate with your 100’s of new registration email when you expect me to write. Thank you for your understanding.
I have earlier indicated that a lot of religious folks like to Cherrie pick when it comes to what they preach in Church and how they conduct their services.
For people that are new to the Faith, this could affect their foundation and harm their Faith, as they would lack the knowledge of the ways of God.
What is common practice in some denominations is that depending on the doctrine they preach and teach will indicate parts of the Bible they preach.
I know that ultimately it’s the responsibility of each person to know the Word of God, but Churches also have a greater responsibility to be hundred percent faithful to the Word of God.
I must say the Faith has come a long way, and to serve God one must be bold and courageous such as Martin Luther. (Martin Luther was a German monk who began the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, becoming one of the most influential and controversial figures in the history of Christianity).
There was a time in history when Christians were not allowed to read the Bible, they had to depend on the Church(to know God) which was Catholic Church at the time, that’s why we Christians will ever be so grateful for work of William Tyndale.
According to Tyndale, the Church forbid owning or reading the Bible to control and restrict the teachings and to enhance their own power and importance. (Huff Post)
To faithfully serve God, one has to be a rebel and be radical to the establishment. One must also have Zeal, We see these qualities in the life of our Saviour Jesus Christ, Apostle Paul, Martin Luther and William Tyndale to name but a few.
For the most part, establishments are corrupt; they deceive the people and only care about themselves.
The second of God’s Divine Order, I want to address comes from the Ten Commandments. The second of the Ten Commandments in the book of Exodus 20: 4-6
4 You shall not make yourself any graven image [to worship it], or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me,
6 But showing mercy and steadfast love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.
……
My question is why does the Catholic Church and some of the Churches of England still have statutes of Mary and other so-called saints in their Church in which people say prayers to, bow down to and light candles.
I have prayed in front of statutes in the Catholic Church, as I went to a Catholic secondary school, so I have catholic roots in me, but if one does their homework, the Bible completely forbids it.
Here are some verses to help us with what God’s says about idolatry
In Psalm 97.7a (Amplified) Let all those be [deeply] ashamed who serve carved images.
Deuteronomy 4:23-24 Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the LORD your God has forbidden. For the LORD, your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 4:16-18 so that you do not act corruptly and make a graven image for yourselves in the form of any figure, the likeness of male or female…
Leviticus 26:1 “Do not make idols or set up carved images, or sacred pillars, or sculptured stones in your land so you may worship them. I am the LORD your God.
Therefore Graven images and statues and not of God hence any Church that has them are misleading the people.
In Psalm 103:7, the Bible says He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the Children of Israel.
As a Christian, if we are serious about getting closer to God, then our aim should be like Moses and know God’s way.
Finally part of the creed in some Churches of England says they believe in the Catholic Church, but how can you believe in the Catholic Church when they don’t follow a lot of the Bible.
Our Lord and Saviour put it this way in the Gospel of John 4:23 But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers.
So my fellow Christians let’s follow John 4:23, and worship God in Spirit and truth.
Remember Jesus Christ is the Light & Saviour of the World.
God Bless
