This Feeling (Poem)

In the quiet spaces between us,

A feeling, unforeseen, starts to discuss.

Girl, I confess, it’s hard to define,

This emotion in me is beginning to shine.

We’ve walked side by side, through time, through space,

Now, in my heart, you’ve taken a place.

A feeling so sudden, in its gentle invade,

In your sweetness and gentleness, it’s clearly displayed.

Qualities I’ve known, now seen anew,

Through a lens of affection, my vision of you.

Where this path leads, I cannot foresee,

But in this feeling, I let myself be.

It whispers of love, quiet and deep,

A secret, within my heart, I wish to keep.

Yet, hope flutters like a candle’s flame,

In your heart, you might feel the same.

Age, they say, is merely a number,

A truth in love, we often ponder.

Let’s unfold this story, see where it goes,

As this sweet feeling of love gently grows.

So here I stand, with my heart in my hand,

On the edge of a feeling, so grand.

I treasure this moment, however brief,

In your love, I find my relief.

This feeling, girl, it’s hard to explain,

Like sunshine slowly following rain.

I don’t know its source or where it might lead,

But in its warmth, I have everything I need.

Let’s see how this unfolds, in time, in space,

In your presence, a sweet, love-filled grace.

With each passing day, this feeling I’ll savor,

Hoping you feel the same, in your heart’s favor.
