This Genocide is so WRONG (Poem)

In the shadows of despair, a genocide rages on,
Yet the world remains silent, as innocence is gone.
How do they sleep at night, those who perpetrate this wrong?
When they face themselves in the mirror, do they see evil’s throng?

No country lends a hand to Gaza’s cries,
Even those who share a faith turn a blind eye.
The perpetrators and their allies supply the bombs of dread,
While others, in complicit silence, hang their heads.

I cannot bear to look upon their face,
For in their eyes, I see disgrace.
Evil’s shadow looms, casting its dark veil,
And I cannot abide; I cannot prevail.

But amidst the darkness, a beacon of light,
South Africa stands tall, fighting the good fight.
Thank you for your courage, your unwavering stance,
In the face of injustice, you give hope a chance.

Yet still, the genocide persists,
And our hearts ache for those on the list.
May the world awaken, may justice find its way,
And may peace reign in Gaza, one bright day.
