We Become (Poem)

We become who we hang around, sometimes new,

Our spirits blend with those in our view.

Caleb and Joshua, close to God they stayed,

In His Holy presence, their faith displayed.

They walked with God, their hearts aligned,

His wisdom and power in them confined.

A different spirit, set apart from the rest,

Their trust in God stood every test.

Strong in faith, they knew His ways,

Guided by His light through all their days.

While others doubted, lost in despair,

Caleb and Joshua knew God was there.

In battles fought, in promises kept,

Their spirits soared while others wept.

For they hung around the Divine and just,

In God alone, they placed their trust.

We become what we absorb, this truth we see,

So let God’s presence be our company.

With faith like Caleb and strength like Joshua,

May we find power for the needed hour?

In His light, may we always stay,

Let His essence guide our way.

For in His presence, we are refined,

Becoming more in heart and mind.
