You Betrayed Innocent Blood (Poem)

In the depths of darkness, you dwell,
Betraying innocence, a tale to tell.
Your soul, soiled with deeds of night,
Your eyes, windows to your plight.

I shun your presence, turn away,
For evil’s face, I cannot sway.
Your choice to embrace the dark,
Now lie upon that bed, stark.

But know this: in my solitude,
I’m not alone, though it may elude.
God’s angels guard, a shield so bright,
I am chosen in His sight.

You ignited this; remember well,
The path you chose, the stories you tell.
Yet, in the end, the light will prevail,
And your darkness, it shall pale.
