Over the last several years my eyes have opened, I have awakened more as I mature spiritually. I am more enlightened, as the Bible says we go from glory to glory.
The good thing about this is that I consider myself more informed about dark things of like. Now I am less gullible, I reflect on interactions and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal people’s hidden agenda, and He does. I have found it challenging to trust people, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I’ll always give people the benefit of the doubt.
Having said that I find solace in Jeremiah 17:5-7, which says cursed is the man that trust in man and makes flesh his strength …Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.
There is a lot of manipulation in this world, and it comes in many forms, which I am well aware of but not going into detail for this particular blog.
As a result of this, before I take action on anything, have to confirm that it’s the leading of the Spirit of the Lord, and I have to have an Epiphany.
An Epiphany is an intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or of something. Sometimes I try to invoke it, which doesn’t work, but I found out that I have to be in a particular state of mind to catch it or receive it when it comes.
An Epiphany can not be made to happen, but one could set up the atmosphere, which means one is in the spirit.
It’s a good practice for a writer, and before I write anything, I must have an epiphany.
However, it should not be limited to just writing, but for everything one does, as I have mentioned in my earlier blogs, it is to a person’s advantage to have reflections momentarily, this is one of the ways how the Holy Spirit reveals things to us.
It’s important that one does not rush into anything; we have to wait and get more insight (an epiphany) before proceeding with anything. An Epiphany is more or less on the same par with having a discerning spirit.
A Discerning Spirit is one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which is a supernatural ability to determine whether something is of God and get a deeper insight into a person or situation to know the motive of individuals, and what plot they are trying to plan.
If one prays in the Holy Spirit regularly, it could be quickly revealed.
In these last days, one has to be on one’s toes, I don’t want to sound cynical and say no one can be trusted, but it is the sad truth.
One does not need to act suspicious of people, just don’t respond straight away and reflect on every situation. Let the Spirit of the Lord lead you.
Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and the voice of a stranger they shall not follow.
Until next time – Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving
