Lifting our Spirits to sustain our Faith.

What has happened in Texas, helps us realize what is important in life, people have died because of Hurricane Harvey, here today gone tomorrow, it can happen to anybody, and this incident helps us realize how temporary this life is

However, since we are still here, we must make the best of it. It’s crucial that the people of Texas get their spirit lifted, as this will sustain their faith.

One of the ways is speaking God’s promises over the town and one’s life, as this enables the Angels to go to work.

The Bible says in the Book of Psalms 103:20
Bless the LORD,
you His angels
You mighty ones who do His commandments,
Hearkening to the voice of His Word

Angels listen out for the word of God and obey it. As God’s promises are spoken over Texas and the lives of the people, Angels will activate God’s word; it’s one of their functions.

Also in 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads:

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Situations like Harvey enables us to realize that we need a revival, not just in Texas, but all over the world. As we humble ourselves, pray and seek the face of God, in return we pray and trust God to pour out His Spirit on the Body of Christ, and our environment.

However, we also must ask why LORD WHY, so we can all learn.  As I watch the images, from Harvey, I can’t help but ask how could this happen.  Also, the fact that Texas is part of the Bible belt. The part of scripture that comes to mind is in the book of Samuel.

Eli was the priest of Israel at the time, and the Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:12 that the sons of Eli were sons of Belial they knew not the Lord. (New King James edition) Belial – is a biblical name for the devil.

In other words, they did what was wrong and committed abominations in the Temple of God.

As with most towns around the world today, we see churches left, right and center, and am sure it’s the same in Texas,  Is it because people want to save souls and spread the Gospel? Or the fact that it is a very lucrative business.

Most people see having a church as a business and not the work of the Lord, they do a little bit of charity work here and there just to cover up, but ultimately for some, it’s about the MONEY.

Religion is a Multi – Billion-dollar industry, and that’s why we see many religious places all over the place.

Going back to the sons of Eli, the bible says that they had no REGARDS for the LORD. The question is how many churches do we have that the ministers are in it for the money and have no regards for the LORD?

We need the Holy Spirit to help us discern, we should never take things at face value, and most LISTEN to what the Holy Spirit is saying.

A good measurement to follow is what would Jesus do. Does the life of Jesus measure up to what’s going on in this Church?

Some places of worship never had the glory of God, and some the Glory of God has left, the Bible calls this Ichabod.

If God is pleased with a Church, His presence will be evident, and His Glory will be upon the Church, and this Glory should fill the environment.

As humans, we like what we can touch feel and see. As a result, a person could be taught the wrong thing by being part of the certain religious gathering.

I know the bible says we should not forsake the gathering of fellow believers, but what good is it, if a person goes to a place of worship, that their teaching is not in line with the Bible (What would Jesus do), and behind the scene, they practice witchcraft. It’s sad, but a lot of churches are involved in dark magic.

I know there are decent Churches, and ministers, and we must take our time to find them, as the Bible has said that we do not need anybody teach us anything, as the Holy Spirit would teach us all we need to know.

I know it would make a huge difference if we can see the Holy Spirit and Angels, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that. What we must do is cultivate a presence for the Holy Spirit and Angels to be in our midst.

If things are done in a Church that Jesus wouldn’t do, then GET OUT plain and simple.

Texas, we are praying for you, all the victims, and those that lost loved ones.

Until next time. Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.

Peace. Daniel
