Residual Love (Poem)

The best part of your love has faded away,

Lost to the heartaches you’ve had to face each day.

The mistake was taking for granted what we had,

Now we see the value when it’s all gone bad.

Residual love is the bare minimum we hold,

A flicker in the dark, where once burned bright gold.

For those who see the flashing lights but never know,

This love needs more than just a faint, residual glow.

Let’s take this residual love and fan the dying flame,

Return it to the passion that once bore our name.

For love deserves more than just an echo of the past,

It deserves to thrive, to flourish, and to last.

Until Next time, Keep Believing, Keep Hoping & Keep Loving.
