(Verse 1) In history’s pages, a tale unfolds As Christopher sailed to lands untold. Arawak people, a gentle race, Welcomed strangers to their embrace.
They traded freely, with no weapons in hand; Innocence prevailed throughout their land. But in the shadows, a dark plot brewed: To subjugate the innocent, a goal pursued.
(Chorus) Have you ever felt the urge to control, To bend someone’s will, make them play a role? It’s a mentality of power, so wrong and unjust, Born from oppressive kings in whom we’ve placed our trust.
(Verse 2) In the Renaissance era, with kings in command, Priests held sway, a heavy hand. Absolute power, the masses had none, A dominion mindset, where cruelty was spun.
The discovery of lands, a new world’s birth, Masked in greed, a quest for earth. To subjugate and conquer, they set their sights, Ignoring the cries of those in their plights.
